FOUNDER

Johnny has been Mortgage Banker in Denton, Texas, for 21 Years. In addition, to his mortgage business, Johnny has served in multiple leadership roles with First Baptist Denton, First Refuge, and other organizations in his community. He has also served as a Haiti mission trip participant and leader since 2010, serving on over 20 trips. For the last three years, Johnny and his wife Darla have self-supported Lajoie & Anne from Haiti with their college degrees. Wanting to do more, Johnny founded Advancing Haiti in 2021. Advancing Haiti’s goal is to help over 50 Haitian young men and women obtain college degrees over the next 20 years.

DIRECTOR

Brad is the senior pastor at Southmont Baptist Church in Denton, Texas. He has served as Southmont’s senior pastor since June of 2016. Before Southmont, Brad served on the pastoral staff at First Baptist Denton, first as the Student Pastor and then as an Associate Pastor. Brad is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned his Masters of Divinity degree. Brad has led numerous mission trips to Haiti dating back to 1998. He and his wife, Cari, adopted two of their five children from Haiti. He has a love for and passion for the people of Haiti.

DIRECTOR

JD has been in the Real Estate Industry for 18 years throughout the DFW Area. Before becoming a Realtor, JD was the Store Manager of the Local Office Depot and also held an executive position with Target Stores. JD has been a member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years as he grew up in Denton. He has led life group studies with youth, college, and young married couples. JD and his wife Tara have three children and reside in Corinth. JD, along with Johnny and Brad, have made several trips to Haiti, working with the orphanage in Port au Prince, assisting with multiple projects, and serving Haitian families with food that was in need.
