Doing More
Sometimes doing more is just doing something.
Most of us find ourselves in comfortable places. Our high school education was free, and there were plenty of opportunities for advanced education thru scholarships, grants, loans, etc. Part-time jobs were plentiful if you wanted one. We lived in homes, had clean water, power, transportation in the garage. In addition, the country you lived in provided abundant free resources for everything from food, counseling, health care.
The Haitian young adult experiences none of these. They survive just like their parents—one day at a time. There are no comforts. No opportunity for higher education, no employment opportunities
